Assessments

Assessment of English language

Your level of English will be assessed during your program. You’ll receive a grade from A to F. You’ll need at least a C grade for entry to the University of Sydney.

Assessment of academic progress

Your academic progress will be assessed during each term. You’ll also have final examinations at the end of each semester. Your performance will be monitored and you’ll receive regular feedback on your progress. Your final assessment will include a mixture of coursework and tests.

Grade Point Average (GPA)

You’ll receive a grade for each subject, except English. Each one will be assessed on a 10-point scale. You’ll receive an average score (GPA), calculated across eight different subjects. Note: the Essential Computing Skills course is compulsory but is not included in your GPA.

Entry to the University of Sydney

University entry is based on two separate results:

  1. Grade A to F for English
  2. Grade Point Average (GPA) for your other eight subjects.
