College Director
Hello and welcome to Taylors College. As College Director, myself and all the staff team here in Sydney look forward to working with you and supporting your continued success at the highly prestigious University of Sydney. Our experienced and caring team are committed to providing you with an outstanding student experience in preparation for your future studies.
As College Director, I bring with me leadership experience from a range of education settings, including digital Education experience at University of Birmingham in the UK, Director of Student Experience at Warwick University International Foundation Programme in the UK and as a parent of three graduates an appreciation of both the challenges and wonderful opportunities international education can bring!
As we continue to emerge from a global pandemic, I hope you are able to make the most of your international study experience here at Taylor’s College, that we can truly make a difference to your future life choices and of course, that you get to enjoy all that the amazing city of Sydney has to offer!
Academic Director
As the Academic Director my role is to ensure that students are engaged in a challenging, invigorating, and purposeful curriculum so that students achieve their full potential and develop their capacity to be 21st century learners.
The world of work is continually evolving, and as a result students need to develop the skills to be agile and critical learners. Studying at Taylors College Sydney will enable students to develop these vital skills. Furthermore, students will be a part of a broader community with contacts all around the world thanks to the 40+ different nationalities of students who study with us.
Over its rich history as the oldest university in Australia, the University of Sydney alumni have made some significant and enduring contributions to Australia and the world. Studying at Taylors College Sydney not only provides you with a pathway to the University of Sydney, but also puts you on the path to making your own contribution to your field of study and the greater good in the future.
Director of Student Success
I have worked in international education in various countries for over 20 years and am passionate about the opportunities and lifelong learning it facilitates. As Careers Coordinator and HAPP Student Adviser I am responsible for the smooth transition of our students into university. In addition to this, we run Careers workshops, the Career Ahead program and our new Taylors College Volunteer Group. Liaising with the University of Sydney (Usyd) and promoting events which engage the students and expand their knowledge base is also of great importance as they embark on the next stage of their international education journey.
In 2016 the High Achiever’s Preparation Program (HAPP) was introduced at the Sydney Campus. The program has enjoyed excellent results and the students are motivated to succeed. The Student Ambassador Mentoring Program teams HAPP students with USyd mentors and allows students to establish enriching relationships and develop a comprehensive understanding of campus life. All of our students are encouraged to be the very best that they can be – successful, committed, engaged, empathetic and self-aware – in order to meet the challenges they will face in this rapidly globalising and highly competitive world.
